For Tamara, as a student and as a teacher, yoga is time in stillness to learn about who we are. Acceptance for what is, and having an open heart to move forward along our path.
Brooke has been exploring yoga through her own practice for many years. Looking to deepen her practice, she attended her first 200 hour training and in the process found a passion for sharing yoga with others.
Her intention is to offer a safe and supportive space, where students can explore and express themselves on and off the mat. She hopes her students find enjoyment in her classes through fun sequencing, music, and the use of props.
For Brooke, the best part about yoga is the connection and community it creates!
Melissa has been teaching yoga in the Brockville area for the past 7 years. She recognizes that everyone comes to their mat with different physical and emotional strengths and challenges so she encourages students to practice yoga in a way that feels good to them.
Melissa believes that yoga provides the foundation for feeling healthy and grounded in a world that can seem overly busy and stressful.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys walking in the woods (preferably with a crew of dogs), kayaking, making natural body products, and cooking foods from around the world. She looks forward to seeing you at Engine House!

Dan first discovered Ashtanga yoga in 2014 as a means to stretch out from various sports such as basketball, running and swimming. After initially focusing on just the physical movements, Dan's practice evolved to embrace breathwork and meditation, leading him to complete his Yoga Teacher Training with Astanga Ottawa in 2023.
Dan's athletic and coaching background means his classes focus on combining strength with flexibility and correct anatomical alignment. He encourages students to explore the line between comfort and discomfort during practice in order to achieve a moving meditation.
